Variax Next Gen

A while ago, I rec'd an email from Line 6 asking me what I thought about new features they were thinking about adding to the next version of Variax. Here are a few more I'd like to add/ make a comment on:

  1. I really want a sustainer built into the guitar! Come on, it's already got the power. I don't care if it's real or modeled.
  2. I'd like a better tremolo! The one now is not great at all, makes my guitar go out of tune constantly (if I use it) and also makes a strange "spring" noise when I palm mute the strings.
  3. Have it controllable by other amps like Spider Valve!
  4. More frequent updates! Come on, it's software.

Thanks for your consideration,

David McCarter

    Consider the Roland vg-99's abilities...

So what I would like to see in the variax 2 or variax 1000 or whatever will be the name:

    1. modeling two different type of guitars at the same time on separated signal chains to the effects...

    2. make it wireless !!! already have the relay g30 so that would not be the problem. I hate cables. I had too much of it.

    3. the ability to convert the signal to midi-notes so I could use my guitarsynth without the gk3-crap (sorry Roland but just tracks very bad) and of course this should be wireless too.

    4. 7 string models or even more... 8 strings...

    5. put some magnetic pickups too

I'd like to see the ability to change tuning directly on the guitar. It could be optional by having some device you connect to the data output. Having a switch for your favourite tunings would be cool though

A little source of light to show what your guitarselector is on would be usefull when it's dark.
