Controls Alignment in Variax 300 Pickguard

Are the controls aligned identically to a strat? i.e. could I order a strat pickguard with no pickup holes and have it fit correctly or is it a bit different?

Just ordered a Warmoth Variax 300 Strat replacement body but not sure what to do about the pickguard as Warmoth didn't have the color I want.

They are a little different-I had to modify my pickguard to fit them in-I know Warmouth has pickguards they make just for their vax bodies and others.Hope this helps//////Peace!

if your after a pickguard for strat that can be modded to fit a variax transplant try ebay and look up a user called dn-store.
They have a whole range of pickguards with different combinations including blank ones - i ordered a blank one and simply drilled the holes for the controls using the 300 pickguard as a template
