Questions about Variax 300 Nylon

Hi there,
I have loads of questions about the Variax 300 Nylon so I'll try to make it brief. I'm thinking about buying one as I play best on Nylon strings.
1. It seems it doesn't connect digitally to other Line6 gear, right? So what does it offer that any other Nylon guitar with a good pickup doesn't? Esp. since it has one pickup for all strings compared to the other Variax guitars with dedicated pickups per string.
2. What does the physical modeling do? I know it is supposed to simulate a microphone in front of the guitar but how do they do it? Is it only EQ? Or some phase thingy? It seems they don't do physical modeling as I know it from the world of synthesizers (Yamaha VL-1 comes to mind).
3. Will there ever be a new model? Seems like classical nylon players is a small market. The 700 is available only with steel strings.
Cheers!
