Greetings Line 6 community,
I purchased my Toneport UX1 in late 2006 and I did not realize what a goldmine I had in my posession, I just plugged it in and played around with it once and a while when it felt safe because I was afraid my kids would kill it when I stepped away from it so I somewhat coveted it. I never recorded anything because I could not find a drum software I felt comfortable with and I thought my drum machine was broken and one day in august 2009 I found my old Yamaha RY30 drum machine and it actually powered on and that is when my streak of writing new tunes began.
9 songs into it, the drum machine broke again and that is when I discovered EZDrummer by Toontrack when researching the Korg Nanopad which I purchased and at this point I am up to 40 songs I have recorded with my Toneport and along the way I have used Gearbox and Podfarm for the guitar and bass tones and I also purchased the FX junkie triple pack, For the bass tones I mostly use the Sk8er preset tweaked and for guitar I use the california spin preset tweaked for the main guitar track on most of the songs but have used a bunch of other presets and effects for the overdubs and I have only used garageband as a DAW to record on my macbook so far but plan to start testing Ableton live soon.
The songs are mostly metal with a few other styles in there.

ren,
I listened to "Dreamin' Away". Definite Nirvana influence. Sounds slightly muffled, but otherwise pretty good!
Thanks arron, Yeah the last bunch of songs are grunge but there are mostly metal tunes, on a bunch of them I use my re-stringed guitar and bass that is setup with the lower side of a 7 string setup on 6 string guitar and 5 string on a 4 string bass anyway, glad you dig it.
Stay in the mix and in the know.
