Flextone III Volume Not Turning Down...

I have asked this question before but can't find the thread. I have a Flextone III Plus and I use an FBV Shortboard with it. I can turn the amp all the way down and I still have plenty of volume. I have reset it back to factory default many times. I have updated the flash to v.1.10. The amp, as great as it is, is becoming unusable. I really need some help.
Thanks,
Butch
Butch,
try this.. turn every knob on the amp to zero - except the Master Volume.
Does it stay loud now, or go completely quiet ?
If quiet, let us know.. 'cus your amp is kicking into Manual Mode.
I'll give it a shot. Thanks....
I believe the amp has "kicked" itself into manual mode. I did just as you said and it was dead quiet. I zeroed-out all knob except the master volume. I kept it at 5. I plugged in a guitar and it was dead quiet. Only when I turned the volume knob did I start hearing the instrument.
Okay, so what now?
You know, I kind of thought the amp was kicking into Manual mode; but in manual mode the A,B,C,D button lights aren't on. When I did the test you specified, the "A" light was on. Do you still think it's in manual mode? If so, how do we fix that?

Hello,
Is this happening with the FBV controller connected? If so, does it happen when the FBV is not connected? If this happens with the FBV connected but not happening with the FBV discnnected you may need to calibrate your pedal. See the following links for more trouble shooting:

Just got off the phone with Line 6 tech support. They say internal hardware problem. Not good. My only amp and every service center I know of has a 3-week back up. The cost of even just looking at an amp is higher than I can afford.
The bright side is that in manual mode it sounds awesome. The only thing I need is a distortion pedal.
Hello,
Yes. That is the correct procedure for calibrating the MkI FBV Shortboard, which is what you have.

Reviving and old thread for a situation that is finally resolved. I decided that, while my amp was "broken" and awaiting a trip to the service center, I would fallback to flash bios version 1.00. I liked the tones better anyway. Low and behold, the problem is now resolved.
