Which way to go...?

Ok i've been gigging with a Spider III 75 for a while now, plugging my VG Strat directly to it and using a FBV2 for channel switching. But there are some gigs where using an amp is not viable. So in those cases i've been using a VOX Tonelab LE plugged directly into the PA. But since i've had my Spider amp (I LOVE THE SOUND OF IT, AND I'M LOOKING FORWARD TO UPGRADE TO SPIDER IV) i've been wanting to change from the Tonelab to the POD X3.

This is where my question comes in, and where I need some of your advice and experience:

Which is the best way to go..???

1) Using a POD X3 Live

2) Using a POD X3 paired with a Line 6 FBV Shortboard MkII Guitar Footswitch

I would like to know wich is the best choice for you guys, and why. What are the pros and cons...!

I'd really apreciate your help on this. Thanks in advance, and sorry for my bad english...!

if you can get a tone you are happy with out of the xt live (which shouldnt be hard) i would say go with the single floorboard. having 2 or more boards on stage becomes a pain. if you have a specific reason for using both and you can handle the pedalboard tapdance then have at it. ive always liked the simplest senario for on stage. that way i can concentrate on the show. also if you like the tones from the line6 amp. your sure to like em on the pod live pedal. this is just my opinion of course but i hope it helps you out somehow. have a good day and god luck with your rig.
