Difficulties using PodXT live and Sonar 7 PE

Hi,

I recently bought a pretty good computer for work and thought I'd try setting up this PodXT live via USB to record some tracks. I've been trying both ASIO and WDM/KS drivers but both seem to show the same problem: When I arm the track to record or try to playback anything, the computer freezes for a while, then the timeline stars moving and sometimes, I really mean only sometimes, de audio engine starts (clearly, I can hear some noise in my phones) and even when it does (during playback), it's not synced with the timeline.

You can check my specs here. The only difference I find is RAM memory: I'm running on 6 Gb.

    Hello,

Our ASIO drivers should work fine with Sonar. Have you tried uninstalling them and doing a fresh install?

    Hello,

Actually, I mean uninstalling the drivers for the POD.

Go to your Add/Remove programs list in Windows Control Panel and run the Line 6 Uninstaller app. Uninstall your drivers and then download a fresh set of drivers from http://line6.com/software/.

Install those and let me know if you continue to have issues. Thanks.

    Hello,

That shouldn't matter. Are drivers for the POD are 64 bit compatible.

    Hello,

I just recently noticed Sonar 8 behaving sort of weird for me on my 64 bit install of Windows 7. Are you running Windows 7 as your OS?

If so, can you tell me exactly how you have your drivers configured in Sonar under Options/Audio?

    Hello,

I just matched your audio preferences configuration here on Sonar 8 on Windows Home Premium 64 bit with a POD XTL connected and set up as the I/O device in Sonar.

I get no glitches or lags on playbacks. It's possible there is some other driver or piece of hardware on your computer causing the glitches.

Have you tried the POD with another DAW other than Sonar to see if it behaves the same way?

Also, you may want to try some of the tips I've called out int he attached Word doc to see if they help. Let me know. Thanks.
