PodFarm Standalone doesn't see my PF Platinum Gear

Hi,
How do I get my PF standalone (Toneport DI-S) to see all the gear in my PF platinum for ILOK. While using PF standalone with my TonePort DI-S, I can open tones that I have created/ saved in PF Platinum but some of the gear is grayed out. The info on PF and PF Platinum states that I should be able to do this with my TonePort. Or, am I reading this wrong.
I read a discussion about this subject concerning PF Platinum and a Pod XT. The person that made the post stated that after an uninstall and reinstall he was able to get his settup to recognize his PFP. I am hesitant to try this because my license for PFP has already been deposited into my ILOK acct and I fear that something might get screwed-up during the process. (Leaving me without PFP.)
Any help or explanation would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
Hello,
Thanks for asking. I looked through your account and realize that some clarification is needed here:
1. You have a special TonePort DI-Bundled hardware device. This is something you receive when purchasing the low-cost 3-month GPO bundle offer (total cost for 3 months of GPO service and the hardware device was probably around $36-ish). It is NOT a TonePort DI-Silver; the Bundled devices are stripped down of all assets normally associated with the TonePort DI-Silver and Gold units (which sold for over hundreds when they were available on the market).
2. The POD Farm Platinum iLok license you have only gives you all amp/effect models when you use the iLok key to launch the Plug-In effect within your recording software program host.
So, what you've discovered (correctly) is that tones created with in the Plug-In effect when using your iLok key device that utilized these other amp models are not being seen when you launch POD Farm in "Standalone" mode with your TonePort DI-Bundled device. This is correct behavior, because iLok keys have nothing to do with the "Standalone" operation (you cannot launch POD Farm as a standalone program with an iLok, to be exact).
Unfortunately you won't be able to do anything on your end to change this, unless you purchase optional Amp Model pack licenses for Line 6 USB devices... which I am not suggesting or requiring you to do by any means. Rather, I'm just letting you know how our products are designed to operate from a technical standpoint.
Basically the TonePort DI-Bundled device is a bare-bones no extra features unit. The iLok authorization key is an entirely different device used for a different application of the POD Farm software (Plug-In effect, not Standalone editor for TonePort devices).
If you were confused, I apologize. Hopefully my response helped to clarify things a bit for you.
Regards,
L6Perry
