Hi just got a variax 600. My intention is to use it in duo performances (voice / guitar) instead of several acoustics that I've been using due to the pratice of having 12 strings and different tunnigs in hand.

Just started to search for tone. I've tried the variax through a marshall AS50 acoustic amp that I use in my rig with the acoustic guitars but I'm havin trouble to get a good tone.

I've heard some great acoustic tone here in line 6 official home page. The acoustic sound that I've got would be ok in a band context but it!s sounding very shalow for a duo or solo performance. Tryed a GE-7 equalizer to change it but didn't get there yet.
Does a string change (I have 010 niquel guitar strings I'm thinkking about 011 bronze or niquel acoustic strings to try to improve acoustic sound) did anybody tried this ?

I'm also very curious to know if a fishman aura would improve the variax acoustic tones. Tried to look around in the internet but didn't find any comnets.

I'll try the workbench and a few other amps but help would be very welcome ! If some body found a good acoustic tone for picking, please tell me how.
