Logic Express + UX2 + Axiom 49

I am considering buying Apple's Logic Express DAW and M-Audio's Axiom 49 MIDI keyboard for performing live. Will my UX2 have good synergy with the software and the controller? Specially for outing the virtual instruments through the UX2's analog outputs for live performance?
Hello,
If you push the buffer down to around 128 you can probably run several virtual synths/samplers (depending on the resources, i.e. amount of multi-samples loaded for a software sampler device or complexity of virtual analog synth architecture).
I think your host computer's CPU speed and RAM has a lot more to do with the chances of a better performance in terms of triggering those sounds.
Believe it or not, I've seen guys running a program like Propellerhead's Reason MIDI Sequencing application and Ableton Live using just the Built-In output on their MacBooks live. But the UX2 definitely will allow you to use it as an external audio output device...

Thanks for the quick and informative response Perry. The reason I want to use UX2 is so that I have 1/4" powered analog outputs for the mixing console, but I also heard of UX2 MIDI capabilites. How would it compare against Macbook's onboard card?
Stay in the mix and in the know.
