gearbox Stand alone?

I just recieved gearbox. Is it a stand alone ? I have no pods or other devices.Thank you If you could also point me towards a user friendly setup manual. thanks

    Hello,

     

      GearBox requires a TonePort/POD Studio series DI-Bundled, DI-Silver, DI-Gold, GX, UX1, UX2, KB37, UX8, GuitarPort, PODxt or POD X3 USB device connected to really do anything. It's a free software installer available to anyone, but without at least one of those mentioned devices, you won't be able to do much with the program in terms of audio processing or the optional GuitarPort Online subscription service that uses GearBox as the host program.

     

    GearBox installs a User's Manual, which is accessible via the: Help/Open Help drop-down menu option within the top of the program window.
