I had my X3 Pro all connected on a PC which crashed and is no good. I have upgraded my studio PC and I am trying to install the software that came with the X3 PRO....but now it is asking for "Enter the license code for the purchase you wish to activate:" I do not know where to find these? Last time it just scanned and downloaded the software.
Thanks
if its windows 7 or snow leopard you will need the beta drivers, as they aren't officially supported yet....
as long as you registered your serial number with your account monkey should take care of the rest after you get the correct drivers and it can communicate with your pod.
I have loaded the Beta driver for Windows 7.
My gear is registered on my profile.
It still does not activate purchases.
When I try to activate the software which are activated....it asks
"Enter the license code for the purchase you wish to activate:" I have none...so I leave it empty press enter I then get the next window.

If you have popup blockers, anti-spyware, or anti-virus programs running, try temporarily disabling them.
I have tried disabling my antivirus....and made no difference.
couple of things... they released updated and supported drivers just yesterday... so go here: http://line6.com/software/ and get the latest version of monkey and up to date drivers....
second... if you mean model packs etc.... all of that is automatic and wont need activated...
what did you buy?
if you bought riffworks or a guitarport online account you may have to activate that...
if its pod farm thats giving you the error... remember only pod farm PLUGIN is free...
it works inside your recording software... NOT by clicking an icon (will say that the x3 is not authorized)
Thanks for the reply.
I have updated my drivers just before posting.
I used to have a software where I could download and manage my different tones for my X3 Pro....I do not have that...I think that was Gearbox, from what I am seeing Gearbox does not have drivers for windows 7.
gearbox works just fine for that! you should have no problems getting that and using it... it doesnt need activated or anything either
What version do I get for Windows 7?
the latest... i think you just tell it that you have vista.... it's 3.71 i think...
they just havent updated the site yet...
toznlove,
It sounds like you just need the Gearbox software for your computer. At the downloads page, select 'Gearbox' as the software, and 'Vista' as your operating system. We don't have a version specific to Windows 7 yet, but it will work on your computer.
Download and install that Gearbox, then before connecting the hardware, download and install the latest Windows 7 compatible drivers (no longer in beta).
