Selecting Expansion Pack Tones Cause No Sound
-

I've just upgraded to W7 64bit and have installed all the latest drivers / software relating to my Toneport UX-1. The stock sounds work fine but as soon as I select an expansion pack tone there's no sound. I am plugged into the back USB port, NOT a hub, as I know that can cause this issue. I've also refreshed all the expansion add-ons in Line6 Monkey.
Does anyone have any suggestions?

• Have you shut down all security software/other programs?
• Have you tried to replicate the problem on a different computer?
Hi
I'm using Gearbox 3.71. There's no higher version than that as far as I can tell. I am plugged into the back of the computer, NOT a hub. It's a brand new computer and 64 bit, so I can only assume that the Toneport is incompatible at this stage. (sigh). All the latest drivers + Line 6 Monkey etc are installed and it actually works with all the standard sounds. Only happens when an expansion sound gets selected. I have windows firewall running and Avira Free edition. Everything worked perfectly fine with W7 RC on my OLD machine . So I really don't know......... ![]()
Corey,
Sorry, we meant to say that the problem you are experiencing is a bug in the Gearbox 3.71 software (which is currently the latest version), but should be fixed in a newer version set to come out soon. In the meantime, you will need to set the presets up manually instead of selecting from the expansion preset drop down list.
Regards,
Line6Hugo
How is that done?
Hello,
What I would suggest is rolling back to Gearbox 3.70 for now. Being a TonePort user, the 3.71 version adds no extra functionality for you.
Look for this to be fixed in the next version of Gearbox due out next week.

Ok. Thanks, I will try that.
That works! Thanks so much ![]()
I am having a similar problem with the expansion packs in my toneport DI-Gold. Rolling back the versions did no good for me however:
(From another thread that never seems to get a reply)
Gearbox add-ons fail to activate on Windows 7 64bit.
