Ok So i have tried installing both v3.00 and v3.02 line 6 edit programs (i uninstalled the former before installing the latter). During the install they both ask to install Java runtime 5 and ask to connect to the internet. It then says "Unable to download Java Runtime Environment. Setup will coninue the install. However, Line 6 edit will not work untill the Java Runtime Environment is installed". L6edit then does not work...

Im am unable to download JRE 5 since it has come to the end of its service live and is no longer available. So i have tried downloading and installing JRE 6  (after a complete uninstall of Java altogether) and then installing L6edit v 3.02 but still get the above mentioned problem. what gives??

Is this normally so difficult?

PS. Everytime i have tried i have been connected and do not have any other problems with internet connections, downloads, sys admin access etc etc...
