Switching off the delay effect cuts off the tail end of the delay effect?

Is there a setting or a technique to get me around this problem. If not, is it possible to get an update to the software to allow the user to choose this option. That would be great. I have an older piece of rack mounted gear that let me do this called an Ibanez SDR 1000. I am hoping for an easier solution than having to carry the rack around just for this effect. Thanks, RJ
