Spider Valve Mk1 Channel Switch Issues

I've owned the Spider Valve mk1 for about 10 months. The only problem I've really ever had is sometimes the footswitch doesn't switch channels. I thought it was just my shortboard or cable but then I tried a brand new shortboard and a new cable with it and I still had the same problem. Like I said it doesn't happen all the time it just happens randomly. When this issue occurs it also will occasionally change channels by itself. Huge disappointment in reliability since I gig with this amp 3 days a week. Is this a known issue with others?

    guitarman32,

The only thing you can try on your end would be to reset the amp to factory settings by holding the 'A' Channel button while turning on the power switch.

If the problem persists, I would recommend that you take it to an authorized service center:

Hi, I also am having the same random issues. It ignores the footswitch then changes on its own. I also tried another footswitch and cable...... same problem. 2 questions...did you reset your amp, and if so did it fix the problem? I am unhappy with their responce, I use my amp alot....made this choice and dammit if I didnt pick a flawed product. Thanks guys.........how bout a refund instead of putting it in the shop for several weeks just for them to say they cant find a problem! I have been on this ride before. If you turn the amp off and on it works fine again!

                                                                   I will post another thread....

                                                                                            Thanks,

                                                                                                      Jay
