Um, no.  I wasn't f-ing with you.  I gave you the correct information about how the question system works.  What I was being humorous about was ME wanting credit towarad answering YOUR question correctly.  And that was in an attempt to show you not to take any of this too seriously, which you seem to be doing.

It's just a little check mark and it means absolutely nothing in the grand scheme of things around here.  Nobody puts any stock in how many points anyone has or how many stars are by their name because they are relatively meaningless measures of how helpful anyone has been.  No disrespect to those with lots of stars because I know them and know how helpful they've been.  But there are LOTS of people on this forum with less of both and their reputation is well known by the forum regulars.

Just keep answering questions like you are without the need for instant recognition.  If you're a helpful member of the community, people will recognize that without the need for points and stars.
