Pod Studio UX1 no output

Hi. I bought a UX1 in January. I installed the software, plugged my Ux1 and guitar in and it did not work. I took it back to the shop and they checked it out and it works fine. I've got it back home and have the same old problem. There are no error messages, I just get no output. I've swapped guitars, leads etc and get the same outcome. I can only therefore assume it is a computer set up/software problem. Please help.
Stuart
PS I've got a G5 Imac and am running OS X 10.5.8

Why would I want set up the UX1 as the external sound card?
Thanks
Stuart
You don't have to, but it is an extra step for you to see if you get computer audio from the UX1's outputs, so connect your speakers or headphones to the UX1's outputs. However, it is up to you if you would like to try the suggestions that we make.
Have these suggestions helped you at all?

No sorry they haven't and I'm at a loss as to what to do next.
I have a green light on my UX1.
I'm running 1.11 version of podfarm.
I've set my UX1 as my input and output sound card device.
I've checked with two guitars and two leads so I'm confident it isn't hardware.
The UX1 has been back to the shop and was working in the shop.
I've reinstalled the software 3 times already.
Help!!!!
Thanks
Stuart
Do you have your speakers or headphones connected to the UX1? Are you running the POD Farm software? If so, do you have the input for the tone set to "instrument" rather than mic? Please see your manual for more setup and application information:
