Hey All,
New to the boards and a newbie to Line 6 gear, but since about a month ago I've been hooked, sold my zoom g9.2tt and got a POD XT Live and a Sider IV 150 Watt combo. I am lookin to get the Bass POD for my 6 string bass as well. Either way, I am so hooked on this stuff it is crazy.
Here is a new tune I just put together called "Defiance".
Played on a Carvin DC727C, through the PODXT Live, and the 6 string bass went throught a bass patch I created on the PODXT Live as well. Drums and synth stuff were curtesy of Acoustica Mixcraft.
There are a handful of heavy rhythms (a lot of Dream Theater-esque stuff) and some crazy leads at the end.
Anywho, enjoy!

NARSH,
Sounds good! I particularly like the first 25 seconds with the harmonics. Did you double-track the rhythm guitars? What drums are you using? I wouldn't mind hearing some non-screamo vocals on this.
Thanks Aaron. I didn't double track the guitars at the beginning, there are some harmonies in there. Drums were all acoustica mixcraft.
NARSH,
I forgot to mention I own a Bass Pod & a Bass PodXT. If it fits your budget, I think overall the Bass PodXT is quite a bit better.
Thanks for the heads up. I am sure I can find a used one cheap. I know diddley about bass aside from what I am learning as far as technique goes.
Song was decent enough, but sounded like everything coming right down the center of the mix. It could sound a lot bigger and better.
I almost said the same thing about the stereo spread. That's why I asked about double-tracking the guitars: If you panned them more left & right, I think it would sound better.
aaron, wardick, thanks for the tips. I'll try swinging the guitars out into two tracks and panning them out. Thanks again guys!
Stay in the mix and in the know.
