Drop Tuning For X3

Hi,

I'm new to this forum, as well as the Pod X3. So I'm not really sure if I'm listing this in the right place? I wanted to know if there are any updates/patches that allow for any type(s) of drop tuning using my X3? Any help or direction would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Rich

But you could buy a Variax...easy drop tunings and controllable with the X3 Live.

and the variax works well with the virtual drop tuning. its so cool to step on one patch on my x3 live that has a standard tuned strat to a drop C les paul on the next patch....... all for one song..... too cool.....

Whoa that is cool. This sounds like a huge advantage, playing in dropped tuning with full tension. Would probably eliminate those tuning intonation problems when changing tunings without a whole setup. Not to mention killing your strings when switching tunings all the time. Is it really that good?

As of now I have one guitar I use for all kinds of tunings and its a hardtail and it's a 25.5 scale I take it down to drop b, but any lower and it really isnt too playable, wont stay in tune, starts to get muddy etc. Trem guitar stays in standard, others vary between drop d and e flat. I wouldn't mind a true baritone scale or a variax to get down to A if it can do it.
