Hi all,
A hiss sound is coming out of PX3L when i use microphone after some level of volume.
A low volume there is no hiss sound but i grows exponentially when i increase the volume knob of the microhone.
I use SM57 microphone.
any solution.
regards,
Nabarun.
Try adding the noise gate to your Tone.
What are you micing. a vocal or a guitar?¿
If you are micing a guitar amp then the hiss is more than likely coming from the amp. add a noise gate.
If you are micing a vocal, then use a better vocal mic. It will cut down on alot of the noise. also make sure there is not alot of room noise in the room you have the live mic in. All that little stuff gets picked up. like computer fans, cell phones to close to the audio equipment, etc....
I am using sm57 for vocals !
i tried noise gate .
but it actually removes the hiss sound when there is no vocals .
but it comes back when i try to speak or sing !
it sounds more awkward then a constant noise !
please suggest someway which can let me use sm57 with more louder sound :O
i use a sm57 myself without issue...
try starting with some of the factory built in vocal tones...
you may also have to spend some time dealing with the notorios trim adjustment...
but you can get decent results.
well !
yes if i trim the knob suddenly the hiss sound becomes too much dominant !
at low level the hiss is very less !
but at that level guitar is very much dominating !
is there any other parameter which can help me to check this noise !
noise gate and trim knob doesnot seems like working
!
Hello,
The noise gate (as mentioned) is a good place to start. Also, try bringing the preamp model gain down a bit and see if that helps.

I increased the threshold to around -34 and now no noise when the mic is in stand by mode.
but when i try to speak or sing, i get noises.
but if i increase the noise to 0 there is no noise but the tone becomes too dull.
well this worked to some extent but still i am looking for some solution which can let me use sm57 with full gain without any noise.
My experience was very bad.
I am still not able to solve the problem, please help !
