Pod/Pod plugin bug?

I'm finding that if I open the standalone POD Farm, for instance to use the tuner, then close it and open Logic and use the POD plugin there, the GX input produces no new sound unless I unplug/replug the GX or reboot the computer. Existing recordings will use the POD plugin to model sounds but no new sound can be input.
It's a very consistent and reproducible problem for me. I found this under 10.4 with Logic Express 8 and now the same thing with 10.6.2 and Logic Express 9. Input is set to GX in both Logic and the Sound control preference pane. I did just use the Monkey to install the latest driver and have the same issue.
Hello,
Others have reported similar issues but so far we have not been able to reproduce. If this is consistent for you then that's good as it should be easy for us to repro here in house.
So, if I wanted to repro this basically the recipe would be:
- connect GX to Mac via USB
- launch POD Farm (1.11) Stand Alone
- click on tuner and tune
- close POD Farm Stand Alone
- launch Logic Express
Result is no audio input until you unplug and replug the USB?
Question: When you do not get audio after launching Logic, have you gone into Logic's audio preferences to see if it's configured to use the GX as your playback device?

Now you've woken up Mr Miller, perhaps you open a support ticket for ME? I've been posting like mad about a similar issue (No Authorised Device Connected....) and I've been utterly ignored. This is the very worst service... Perhaps you could do something to redeem Line6's low standing in this regard?

Apologies for thread-jacking (again)
Correct. You don't have to use the tuner, just launching and closing the standalone Pod Farm software is enough, but since the tuner isn't part of the plugin that's all I use the standalone one for.
I did check and found this: even when no audio comes out, the sound control panel will register input on the level status bar. It didn't matter if I had out set to GX or Built-in, still no audio out. And making sure the input was GX on both the sound control panel and in Logic's audio preferences doesn't change it until I unplug and replug the GX.
One other thing I noticed - the standalone POD Farm overrides the system setting for sound output while it's running and forces it to come out the GX output, but doesn't change the setting permanently. But setting Logic or the system to send output to the GX after closing the standalone POD Farm only affects output for prerecorded audio and the input is still no-go.
Stay in the mix and in the know.
