Lag while recording with POD Studio GX

So I bought a Line6 POD studio GX.

I can't seem to record a single sound clip without extreme lag crunching the sound.

What I mean:

Let's say I record 10 seconds of sound. The sound played between the 6th and 7th second will be crunched together into one big ugly BLLARRRRPP noise.

I tried with a guitar and a bass. I tried playing with the buffer length. I tried with Live Lite, Audacity and Windows sound recorder. (I have Windows 7)

Nothing seems to work proprely.

    Krowser,

Audacity and Windows sound recorder do not support ASIO audio drivers, which are the kind of drivers that you use for low to no latency in your audio recordings.

In Ableton's Preferences window, in the Audio tab, select ASIO as the driver type and ASIO GX as the Audio Device.

You can adjust latency from the Line 6 Audio-MIDI devices utility in your computer's Control Panel.

      Regards,
