Connecting POD XT Live

I installed the Line 6 Monkey, hooked up my Pod XT Live with a USB cable. Computer recognises it; monkey doesn't. What am I doing wrong?

(Reason I want to hook it up is to download and try out user-created effects).

Thanks,

Richard

    RE: Connecting POD XT Live

    Hello,

You didn't install all the software required to do what it is you're trying for. Monkey is just a maintenance program that checks the installed software on your hardware unit and computer and alerts you to any new updates.

What you really should download and install is this: http://line6.com/software/readeula.html?rid=3121

That link is a direct one that prompts you to save the GearBox 3.72 Bundled Installer. After saving that file to your computer, run it; it will install GearBox (the program that lets you open up patches downloaded from the website and edit them on your PODxt Live), the necessary USB driver for your computer (without this, your PC won't know that you have a PODxt Live connected via USB and the latest version of Monkey (which you already have installed).

      Regards,

      L6Perry
