ux1 issue

hello , something has gone wrong with my ux1.. this is probably the wrong place to mention it but ux1 wasnt on your support list.. update time! , I love the ux1 to bits, my custom jazzmaster has never sounded so sexy.. have had it for about a month and everythings been perfect. Tonight however i really needed to record a track and sods law its stopped working. Basically it sounds like i have another pre amp be4 ux1,, using the settings i always use for even just gentle finger plucking its about 20x the output it should be, gear box and pod farm, you could gently lick a string and itd be in the red, amp on lowest possible volume you can hear the air vibrating the strings.. go to record and its the complete inverse... is hardly enough waveform to be audible.. Iv rebooted pc a few times, changed all the settings for the line6 drivers and nothing changes it.. guitar is fine, works perfect on old fx pedal, jm as im sure you know has switch to change the logic on the pickups, either way its all the same.. Im not upset, well a wee bit, so many recordings and when i actually need to do  it it flakes..sods law ,

I just have no idea what to do from here, im out of things to check and tripple check.. is it broken ?.. if so can i have another , lol.. i really do love the ux1 and everything line6 makes.. if its an inherrant fault i dont care, keep sending them to me as long as i dont have to pay, when it works its great..was planning on buying the extra packs tonight too

hope someone has a quick fix

    Hello,

The "quick fix/suggestion" would be: have you unplugged the UX1 from the current USB port and tried another direct USB port on your host computer? The second one would be, can you try a different USB cable, just in case it's a bad cable?

    RE: ux1 issue

    Hello,

I don't think the Monkey update would've affected the behavior of the sonic output in (GearBox/POD Farm), since it's not an audio processing program... it's a maintenance program that searches for software version levels of firmware/flash memory in USB devices and installed software on the computer.

If it were me, I'd uninstall all Line 6 programs you've had running previous. Restart the computer. Then, grab the latest version Installer from our Software Downloads page at line6.com and run this for a fresh installation of POD Farm 1.11 (or GearBox 3.72).

Now, another test/check on the UX1 would be to install these programs I just mentioned... but on a different computer than the one you normally use. If after installing the latest software and connecting your UX1 the same exact tonal behavior exists, then I'd start pointing to the UX1 hardware as having an issue. But if it doesn't, the problem is/was most likely a driver that got corrupted on your main computer.

      Let us know.

      Regards,

      L6Perry
