Hello,
The "quick fix/suggestion" would be: have you unplugged the UX1 from the current USB port and tried another direct USB port on your host computer? The second one would be, can you try a different USB cable, just in case it's a bad cable?

Im sorry, aswell.. honestly, i was just a bit upset that my guitar wasnt working
.. I have managed to get it within a range that allows me to record...... but its not right .. Im finding it hard to put into words, it just sounds and feels like 10 or so overdrives are on all the time, iv changed guitars, have changed usb ports.. I have ordered a replacement usb wire for it that should arrive tomorrow.. I cant see it being the problem though.. its just strange that it acts exactly the same in both gearbox and pod farm.. and i didnt change anything, there was one monkey update.. would that have effected anything ?.. Im at a loss, pcs and guitar is what iv been doing for over 20 years hehe, makes no sense to me.ps. !
, I understand I was a bit upset, you have my full on 100% appology, was just such bad timing tho, it cost me alot of money since I have made ux1 my only means of recording guitar at a production level. so had to tell cleint i couldnt do it hehe. was silly of me but all water under the bridge
, I hate letting people down more than anything else.. as Iv mentioned alot of times, I love ux1

Hello,
I don't think the Monkey update would've affected the behavior of the sonic output in (GearBox/POD Farm), since it's not an audio processing program... it's a maintenance program that searches for software version levels of firmware/flash memory in USB devices and installed software on the computer.
If it were me, I'd uninstall all Line 6 programs you've had running previous. Restart the computer. Then, grab the latest version Installer from our Software Downloads page at line6.com and run this for a fresh installation of POD Farm 1.11 (or GearBox 3.72).
Now, another test/check on the UX1 would be to install these programs I just mentioned... but on a different computer than the one you normally use. If after installing the latest software and connecting your UX1 the same exact tonal behavior exists, then I'd start pointing to the UX1 hardware as having an issue. But if it doesn't, the problem is/was most likely a driver that got corrupted on your main computer.
Let us know.

L6Perry
