Flextone II xl firmware update

I have a flextone ii xl that is about 8-10 years old. Was wondering if there is a firmware update to clean up some of the sounds.

    Are there any of the EPROM's left?  I just bought a Flextone II XL and would like to upgrade the firmware.

    Hi!

    I called few days ago to Englands customer service and asked about firmware upgrades and they told me that I can send my 2.2 eprom to somewhere and they will flash it and then send it back to me as a firmware version 2.4.

     

    So where can I send my chip or is it possible to have a .bin file instead so that I can burn it myself? I have a friend who has gadgets to do that.

    It would save time, costs and effort from all of us. But if it's not possible, I can ofcourse send my chip to somewhere to be flashed.

      You will need to get that info from the UK Customer Service folks.

      The US side does not visit these forums nearly as often as they used to.

        Okay, I managed to call to them while ago (like a week or something ) and I'm trying to find some courage to send my chip to england.

        But the question is: is somewhere listed what the update fixes and improves? I've tried to google, but I dont find any data about it.

        What's the difference between 2.2 and 2.4 and is there a 2.3?

         

        And I have a problem with floorboard, I cant always get to the channel b and bank down doesnt work all the time. And sometimes that whole floorboard freezes.
