Pod XT Live Volume problem

When I selct a preset it runs fine for a short time (about 30 seconds) and then the volume for that preset automatically switches to the volume to which the "Chan Vol" knob is turned. This happens without fail although the interval between switching patches and the volume change seems to change. Any suggestions?

what happens if you keep your vol. knob at zero?

  If I keep the volume knob at zero, the volume drops to zero after 30 seconds or so.

    what i would try is spraying electronics contact cleaner into the pot and rotate it back and forth several times. you should take it apart to get better access to the pot. the knobs might not come off so easily.

        I have tried reflashing the firmware.
        
        I will take it apart and claen it when i am feeling brave. thanks

        My MID knob was doing the same thing. I thought it needed cleaning but the pot was actually bad. I sent mine in for repairs and now evrything works fine. I think you send it in to get fixed.
