POD Farm to POD Farm 2???

I already own POD Farm with my UX2, and have all of the modelling packs. If i decided to purchase the new POD farm, do i lose all of my old modelling packs and saved presets? Are there completely new amp models etc. with the new POD Farm 2?, and after downloading does it completely replace the old POD Farm on your computer?

The only time you would lose any packs is if you "crossgraded" from a Line 6 key to an ilok.

If you upgrade to POD Farm 2 Line 6 key then you will not lose any of your packs or saved patches or tones.

RE: POD Farm to POD Farm 2???

    Hello,

POD Farm (original) and POD Farm 2 are two different applications. They can be installed side-by-side on the same computer.

There are no new amp models, but POD Farm 2 has new configuration options (open-ended chaining of effects, as you mentioned) and MIDI control of parameters via "learnable" MIDI CC assignments.

      Regards,

I wouldn't say it was step by step. So you download the actual program from monkey. ( tried it and it didn't work at first). You have to make sure you have an account on line 6 and that your stuff is registered. Then i had tons of trouble still today i went on monkey again cuz under optional add ons tab on monkey its activate updates button. For me the button didn't show up for a couple of days and then it just magically appeared! so basically install it and wait for it to show. I imagine the time i had to wait was line 6 making sure that i was in the required time for the free one. if you have any questions just let me kno! GOoD LuCK

Try opening up Monkey, click on Activate Purchase. When it comes up and asks you to enter a license key, type 'refresh' and hit enter.

That might do it for ya. Mine just worked when I downloaded the update and installed it (I bought a GX in february) but I saw the refresh trick mentioned all over here when PF2 first rolled out..
