Can anyone help with editing a good 'Chunky' tone. I'm looking for something along the lines of Eddie Jackson's tone. I am not the best at editing and some tips would some the 'Great Impatient One' alot of time.
Thanks
Can you name an album and song? He has had several tones over the years. Mostly has to do with how it fits the song.
Sorry. I suppose I was a bit vague. I was kinda shootin' for a 'Jet City Woman' tone. That low 'clunk' that you can feel. I actually started working on it after I posted and I'm getting close, but not quite there.
Start with the acoustic 360 model and switch in the EQ. Boost the upper mid level and sweep the upper mid frequency until you find that "thunk" pitch. Crank the level back to where it isn't too much.
Since most of that tone comes from the Spector bass you might have trouble getting it right with a p or j bass though. You need a base that sounds a little like that in the first place. Good luck.
Thanks for the advice, bro. I'll give that approach a try.
