Mac OS X connection Crash with pod xt live!! Help

Just got a PODxt live pedal, installed line six monkey on my mac and when i connect the usb to the pod the screen  turns black and you have to restrt the computer and wont start up until you disconnect the usb... Somebody please help me!!!
