My amp turns off after freezing and making a popping sound. Why does this happen?

I will try to save or play a recording, and the amp freezes and then makes an abnoxious popping sound then turns off.

    Here is what you should do, and in this order;

    1. Try a factory reset.

    Turn off the amplifier, holding down the SETTINGS/TONE button and switch  on again keeping the button held down for 5-8 seconds. Note that this  will wipe any custom tones or settings you have made and you should also  make sure that any songs or loops are backed up to SD card (or other recording device via the RCA outputs.)

    If that doesn't fix it...

    2. Reinstall the latest firmware

    If that doesn't fix it, it is a hardware issue...

    3. Return the amp to a service center for repair. You can find the address of your nearest in the :: Support menu above.
