Windows 7 x64 compatibility

Hi,

I'm still having strange problems (since may) with my UX1 podfarm 1 & 2 VST under windows 7 x64.

The rundown: Every reboot I have to replug my UX1, run monkey and then press Change Device... to recognize it. Then I have to open podfarm2 stand alone to see if it will do more than just pass a clean signal... that is the amps and effects often don't function the first try. If not then I have to repeat the process until it does. Same applies to the VST.

On top of that when the amps actually do work my metal pack amps do nothing. For instance if I load the stand alone or VST with the powerball model there is no effect and moving the knobs jumps to a radically new setting. Then if I load a default amp like the deluxe and back to the powerball, the powerball is in fact the deluxe model. There's also a 5 second or so delay when loading a metal pack amp.

Things I have tried to no avail:

Reinstalled drivers and podfarm2 many times

Reinstalled USB Firmware from my laptop (fails if attempted on this pc)

Used "refresh" to reactivate the metal pack and podfarm2 licenses

Reinstalled win7 x64 twice

Everything works fine on my laptop but it's just an older core2duo and isn't suitable for my recording work. The really strange part is that on this pc (my main recording machine) I also have OSX 10.6.4 installed as a hackintosh and my UX1 runs perfectly! I'd use that all the time but there's many plugins &etc I need on windows 7, and my RME PCI card lacks a proper driver. My UX1 functions perfectly on my former core2duo workstation running win7 x64 on a gigabyte motherboard.

So this is purely a win7 driver compatibility issue with my current motherboard, an Asus p7p55d.

Here's my hardware config:

Asus p7p55d motherboard

i7 860 (stock clock)

4gb ddr3 1600mhz ram

RME HDSP 9652 pci

Nvidia gtx260 video

2x 640gb SATA drives

1x 250gb IDE (for hackintosh)

Bluray / DVD drive

Thanks,

robo

    fyi...(from Line6 Announcement)

I know it's not the answer you want to hear, I am in a similar situation, only it's with a PODxt - and I Blue Screen whenever I try to select it as my device.

Line  6 Is continuing the analysis of the issues and is making some headway  in understanding the root cause.  It would appear that changes in the  configuration in hardware are also contributing to the performance  issues that some have experienced, although we are continuing our  investigation, the findings are not conclusive yet.

Again, we appreciate your patience during our investigation and we will continue to provide you updates on our progress.

As  promised, here is an update on our progress.  We are continuing to  research the cause of the issues, but have not found anything conclusive  just yet.  This continues to be a priority for our Engineering  department and will continue to provide updates as we discover more.
