the Wah [volume!] "Pretty unusable.." Pod X3 Live

Hi everybody,

 

the question is easy and I'm afraid that there's no solution.

 

[my Pod is fully updated]

 

So, when I turn on the wah, the volume gets so high that is not usable at all.

You can't make a solo and then turn the wah on for a little.

I've read a complicated answer on a question like this but it was about a XT Live.

I wish to have an easy explanation, if there is one.

I've tried to set it up but I couldn't do it.

    I've been using an X3L for two years now and I have not encountered this problem.  Are there other details that you are leaving out?  Do you not have the volume pedal at 100% in your patch before engaging the wah?  Also try experimenting with different wah models.

    You have a few options here:

     

    1) pause playing while you switch the Wah on/off. The volume increase won't be heard.

     

    2) Set the VOL pedal MAX level at a level that you don't find too loud. That way when you press it to 100% to activate the Wah the level is acceptable.

     

    3) On the System page, set the pedal to control Wah only - not volume.

      Hi d28,  I agree with the others that something doesn't sound right here.  When I activate the Wah by pressing the footpedal, the volume goes to 100%.  This is only a problem if my footpedal was not fully forward before this.

       

      So are you saying that even with your footpedal fully forward, when you press to activate the Wah the volume increases?  If this is the case, check your VOLUME block and make sure that it is set 0-100% on the foot pedal stroke.  I can't think of anything else that would affect this?

    Hey, thanks for the quick answers!

    To Grimm, lucky you. I'd love to use the wah from time to time and yes I've the volume pedal at 100% in the patches I use.

    To Silverhead, the n.1 is not a solution, sorry. the n.2 is not clear, that way the increase will be even more... I will try and I'll try your 3rd option too.

    Thx but I've already solved the problem.

    I've just switched the Volume from Post to Pre in the chain

    I wish this can be useful to others with my same issue.
