Pocket Pod Footswitch! Anyone know what this is?

I would say that it is a home-made battery powered midi device that sends one of the three midi codes to the Pod via the usb cable that tell the pod to go up or down a patch or send the tap control. There is a ready made foot controller that can send keyboard commands to a device via usb. Might be possible to adapt it with your own electronics. Perhaps someone here can come up with a schematic.
Just done a quick search and found this. I'm not to sure whether you could send the output direct to the usb connector. Does anybody know? This circuit would probably be able to drive the pod 2.0 or any others with midi connectors.
What about this, is it the same method http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MMo3_Qs2jqY also for sale here http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=300399590264 I found this all on a forum. How did this guy do it
If you notice on both of these youtube videos, the connection is on the right side of the pocket pod. The USB connection is on the left. So both of these methods are probably the same basic idea as the french video I posted in another forum thread in which the switches are hardwired to the circuit inside, not doing any kind of Midi to USB conversion. Although, I too wish Line6 would put out a footswitch device that does Midi to USB and saves everybody all this hassle and jerry-rigging. On the vyzex forum, one of the line6 reps replied to me that is was never their intention to do so.
