Connecting a multi effects processor to line6 amp?

I was wondering that, if i bought a behringer v-amp pro and used it with my line6 spider III amp, would i make a horrible noise or would it work like it would on any other amp. I ask this becuase i know Line6 is kind of a digital modelling amp.

             Thanks!!! Adam

the v amp pro is also a kind of digital modelling preamp (so it's like the spider III but without the power amp and speaker).

for the v-amp pro to work well you'd need to be able to turn off the inbuild amp simulations in the spider III and you can't.  or if you're wanting to just use the v-amp for effects and not amp simulations, please check that it can turn off the amp and speaker simulations.  ideally then you'd need an FX loop on the amp to connect the v-amp to.  only then would it sound at its best... but maybe to your ears it would sound fine.  that's the thing... everyone is after a different sound. the only way to work it out is to try it yourself.
