Download Vyzex Editor funktioniert nicht, alles versucht aber ohne erfolg.

    2:09 UTC+1, das Downloaden der Windows- als auch der Mac-Version funktiononiert  tadellos.

    Wähle Produkt (PocketPod), wähle Software (Vyzex Editor), wähle Betriebssystem.

    Wenn Du Windows benutzt, merke, nur bei XP und Vista wird es angezeigt, nichts bei Windows7. Es liegt nahe, daß diese Version auch unter 7 läuft, probiert habe ich das nicht.

    Drücke Go, akzeptiere notgedrungen die Lizenz, und schon kommt das File geflogen.

    Solltest du Firefox-NoScript benutzen, muß line6.com zugelassen werden.

    Mehr fällt mir dazu nicht ein.

     

    BTW Satzbau, was funktioniert nicht, 'der Download' oder 'das Downloaden'?

    Vielleicht magst du dir die Mühe machen, ein wenig  genauer zu beschreiben, was genau du da treibst und womit.

    Danke und sorry,

     

    typischer Anwenderfehler; bei mir war beim Dropdownmenü Betriebssystem Windows 7 voreingestellt und so findet man den Download nie ;-(

    auf älteres System eingestellt und schon wird man fündig. Ob das Programm mit Win 7 in allen Einzelheiten funzt kann ich noch nicht beurteilen, die Hauptfunktionen laufen aber.

      Meine DAW weiß garnicht, was ein Internet ist. Ich browse mit linux, das macht die meisten Webseiten ziemlich ratlos und ich darf mir ohne Bevormundung selbst einen D/L aussuchen

      Fein, daß es geklappt hat. Apropos, sollte der Editor unter 7 rumzicken, weißt du sicher von dem Kompatibilitätshokuspokus, der einer Anwendung vorgaukeln kann auf win95, 98 etc aufwärts zu laufen (unter Eigenschaften der Verknüpfung zu finden).

        Ich habe die Datei VyzexPocketPOD1p05Setup.zip heruntergeladen, entpackt und dann den Vyzex Editor für meinen pocket POD auf meinem Win Vista laptop gestartet

         

        Wenn ich die Software durch Doppelclick auf das Vyzex Pocket POD Icon starte,  erscheint ein Registrierfenster, in dem ich nach meinem Namen und der Seriennummer gefragt werde. Ich nahm an es ist die Seriennummer des pocket POD gemeint. Also nahm ich die Nummer , die im Batteriefach des pocket POD steht und als ich damit keinen Erfolg hatte, nahm ich die gleiche Nummer, allerdings habe ich sie per copy & paste aus meinem Line 6 account eingefügt um Tippfehler auszuschliessen. Wenn ich den OK Button drücke, behauptet die Software dass die Seriennummer nicht korrekt sei : "you entered an incorrect serial number for this software! Please press OK and re-enter the serial number.

        Wenn ich cancel drücke gehen alle Vyzex Fenster zu.

        Wie kommt man denn als Pocket POD besitzer zu einer funktionierenden Seriennummer um den Editor zu starten ?

          Hi Leo,

           

          German is not one of the languages I actually learned in school, but I can see from your post that you are apparently being asked for a serial number? Is it the editor software or the Line 6 download site that wants a serial number?

           

          Please let me know if this is a download or actual installed software problem. Thanks.

            Hi Tony,

             

            here's the same thing in English:

             

             

            I downloaded the file VyzexPocketPOD1p05Setup.zip, unpacked it and started the Vyzex Editor for my pocket POD on a Win Vista laptop.

             

            Now, when I start up the software by double-clicking on the Vyzex Pocket POD icon,  a registration window pops up asking me for my name and a serial number. Since my pocket POD is registered at Line 6 and since the registered serial number that is displayed online is the same than on the sticker inside the pocket POD, I tried to copy and paste this number into the "Serial Number" field of the registration window. Then I hit the "OK" button and it says "you entered an incorrect serial number for this software! Please press OK and re-enter the serial number.

             

            If I start the software and hit the "Cancel" button, the software doesn't start.

             

            I thought the editor is free for Pocket POD owners. Where andhow can I get a working serial number for this software ?

             

            So the answer to your question is: the download and installation seem to work, the problem is the software refuses to accept my pocket POD's serial number as a valid entry to open the software

              Hi Leo,

               

              Thanks for the clarification. A damaged installation of Vyzex PocketPOD could exhibit these symptoms - Our core architecture can work with serial numbers or not, and if certain configuration files are not installed or are inaccessible because of system permissions problems then it will default to serial number mode. As you have found out, there is no serial number defined for this editor product line and the hardware serial number definitely won't work in these cases.

               

              Please uninstall the program and then run the installer again - Make sure you have administrator privileges when you do this. The program should then start up without any serial number check.

               

              If this doesn't work let me know and we'll try troubleshooting your system a bit closer.
