FBV Shortboard MkII help

I am trying to use my FBV Shortboard MkII to control Waves GTR3.  The FBV isn't showing up as a MIDI device in GTR3 OR in Windows.  I've completely updated everything using the latest version of Monkey.  The FBV is showing up as an Audio device.  ???  Weird.

Device type: It shows up as a Sound, video and game controller.

Manufacturer: (Generic USB Audio)

Location: Location 0 (FBV Shortboard MkII)

How do I get this thing to show up as a MIDI device?

Windows XP with all the latest updates.

Thanks

    RE: FBV Shortboard MkII help

    Hello,

The FBV Shortboard MkII will show up as an audio device in Device Manager. I think that's just the way the computer recognizes the class compliant driver. So that's normal.

Can you get the FBV to show up as a MIDI device in any other applications?

Perhaps you could try downloading the demo of POD Farm 2 for iLok and see if it will control that?

Also, have you mapped the Shortboard at all using the FBV Control software?
