HELP needed for a live setup

Hi guys
Need some help over here pretty quick as I have a few live gigs pending v shortly in the next few weeks. In the past I have always used stack amps (HIWATT) in my old rock band but over the years have been making music only at home on PC and occasional rehearsals with my new electronica band with a borrowed amp (sold all my own gear). Anyhow we have been picked up by a small label and have been asked to do some small gigs shortly and need a new rig without carting around big amps. Ive been looking at XT LIVE and the new HD model.
Please can someone advise which is the best way to go to getting a nice rich sound, I use lost of reverbs, delays, reverse, echo's and a little chorus etc. The band is predominantly eletronic with loops and synths etc. I dont want really to use an amp but something I can plug direct into Desk/PA system to save on carrying around. Does anyone have experiance of going direct into desk with one of the XT or HD models and how does it sound ? what are the pitfalls and in your opinion is this a good way to go forward. Are there any other suggestions or help you can give to advise me of a nice setup to get the above sounds or does either the XT of HD (prob 300) sounds like the best plan.
As another note I do have a boss space echo which I would like to continue to use with whichever way I go so hopefully that will be no issue
Any help i would really appreciate
Phil
