Going to buy my first metal pedal ?

This is going to be my first metal pedal.   Help me pick one out !   Pick the pedal you like best and tell me why !   So far it,s a shoot out between > MXR Fullbore metal. / Hardwire metal Dist. / Boss metal zone mt 2. / Zvex Box of metal.   I think i like the Hardwire metal Dist or Boss metal zone the best. Tell me what you guys thing ?

    I personally would save my money ..in regards to a gain pedal, as the SVMKII has more than enough gain .. and instead I would purchase something to shape the gain more to your liking and in this case I would choose the Boss GE-7 or the MXR 10 Band EQ .. and put it in your loop you will be amazed at the tonal variety you can create and how tones that you already like can sound that much better with the kind of fine tuning an eq offers. Just my 2 cents. Sorry I know my comment isn't that helpful if you have your heart absolutely set on getting one the aforementioned pedals.

    Yeah, I would agree with Apologist; my Spider IV 150 completely eliminated my need for a distortion pedal, so I can only assume that an SV MkII would be the same if not better in that area. Adding another source of distortion would only muddy things up unless you play on a clean channel, which makes having a modeling amp almost pointless anyway.

     

    But on the side, I love me some Boss Metal Zone if I'm playing a clean amp.
