    Hey Rich,

     

    Thanks for the updates. Do you know when the first shipment is comming to Australia? My local Line 6 dealer has 2 on pre order with the local distributor and one of them is mine.

    Thank you for the update Rich.

     

    FYI, Musician's Friend is now showing a Feb. 28 date for Variax availability for the JTV69 candy apple red, Feb. 7 for the black & the sunburst, Jan 24 for the blue.

    Sweet!  Thanks for the info, Rich.  I guess I'll have to pass the time over the next few weeks having maple-syrup chugging contests with my pet beaver (that's right, I'm keeping the Canadian mythology alive).

    Send a bunch up to Canada.. we have electricity up here and everything, so we'll be able to take full advantage of the features.

    Wow, I got my JTV-59 today and managed to spend all of 15 minutes playing on it at lunch.  I must say, this is an INCREDIBLE guitar.  The action, finish, fret dressing, everything is flawless.  Can't wait to get home and try it out properly.

     

    Congrats to Line 6, y'all really hit it out of the park with this one...

    Where did you get yours from, js_280?  You seem to have gotten first 59 by forum members.

    I ordered a 69 (blue) at Guitar Center in Gilroy, California in early December and they told me that they'd charge my credit card when the guitar was shipped from their shipping center and on its way to their store. I just checked my credit card online and found that they charged my account on Thursday, 6 January, so the guitar should have shipped then. They also told me it would take 3-5 business days to reach the store in Gilroy, so I'm guessing that it will arrive sometime next week.

     

    I can't wait. I'm going to play it for a few days and then ship it off to Sustainiac to have a Stealth Pro sustainer added to the neck position. This just might end up being my dream guitar...

     

    I have actually had a dream about playing it. The last time I was so excited about a new guitar that I had a dream about it was in college (30 years ago) as I was saving up for cream colored G&L Strat. I had a dream that Jimi Hendrix and I were sitting in my living room, trading solos back and forth. Well, it's 30 years later and I still can't play like him.

    Registration

    How do I register mine. It got here in Stafford VA yesterday, When I went to register, your site did not give me a choice of any Tyler Variax -- help? Also I want to update the SW.

    On another thread someone said they hit the "Register Later" option and this allowed them to continue to download the firmware update.

    You are right -- I did that and it allowed me to get the firmware update. BTW: I reported this to LINE6 and here is what they said
