Help! My M13 flipped out and mono inputs don't work!

I bought my M13 back in April 2010 and I love it - absolutely my favorite pedal. I've had two issues with it:
Big issue: On Sunday afternoon, I plugged the M13 in at church only to find that the mono inputs now produce a loud angry hissing noise, and virtually nothing else. I just bought it in April! Any thoughts? (Stereo inputs work, but still make a lot of noise.)
Smaller issue: The model-select knob that you press to select between stompboxes on the left-most column will no longer depress. In other words, I can turn it, but it is permanently stuck on the DL-4 delay stompbox feature. I can't access anything else.
Any thoughts anyone?
Thank you!

Hi,
Have you tried a factory reset on the M13?
Press and hold Looper Controls to enter the setup menu. In FX UNIT 4, turn the Model Select knob until the corresponding display shows RST FACT. Press down on the Model Select knob twice to complete the reset.
If this does not work, try updating the firmware:

If both of these fail to solve the problem, the unit will need to be taken to a service center for repair:
