Can anyone help

I purchased a line 6 pod unit 12 months ago when I bought my new recording setup.  After setting the unit up and running thru pro tools 8 on a new mac (12 months ago) the unit worked fine.  The the unit started to play up, cutting out then refused to work!

The retailer that I purchased the unit from sent it to line 6 who have placed a new chip in - now its returned I expected the unit to work as I have registered/had the unit working before.

The mac does not pick up the unit anymore - I have tried to re-install monkey - drivers - flash and still no joy.

I find it furstating that x3 isnt on some pull down lists when you are trying to install the unit.

x3 is amazing when it works but judging by the amount of issues with x3 is the hassel worth it?????

for £350.00 unit line 6 should really focus on pug and play outlook for users - as most people who by pods are going to record and dont want to muck about with trying to get the thing working - they want to use it to play!

sorry for the rant but I am just getting into recording and when you a million ideas in your head for music its so annoying when you spend a fortune on something that does work!
