No audio from usb but the system says that the device is there and functioning correctly. Have searched the faqs etc. can't find a solution to this so far. The pod x3 is connected to pc running windows xp pro sp3 to usb port on back of computer . The pod is recognized but I can't get any audio. Pod farm 2 is available in my daw but i can't route a signal to it . Line 6 pod x3 is set as default device but does not appear in daw. THIS IS AGGRAVATING! I only bought it to use as a plug in !!!!!
The driver tab says driver is idling? everthing is up to date apart from the driver will not install 4.1.1.7 so am on 4.0.2.6. What is going on ? sound card on pc is a sb audigy 4 pro with breakout box the audio is working on this device. Am using the spdif. Have tried reinstalling everything at least 5 times . Please help ? (pleading) please ?
Same problem here.
You mention you are using USB, but then say S/Pdif; either should work but I would suspect the USB would be less problematic.
My guess is that you have a routing configuration issue with your DAW, have you tried checking the forums for which ever DAW you are using? I assume you have checked your "OUTPUT" settings on the POD as well?
When you say "cant get audio" does that mean you just don't hear it, is there any wave form showing at all when you arm and record a track?
do you have the output settings on the X3 itself set to MATCH STUDIO DIRECT?
if you want to hear sounds from your computer you have to have it set that way...
Hi and thanks . You are correct there were routing issues and the monitor record settings in cubase which I have now put right and set pod x3 as main asio in cubase .A bit complicated for me! . However The drivers still won't update to latest version and I don't think it sounds as good as when just playing as opposed to monitor recorded as if there is too much reverb or delay is how I would describe it . Is it due to latency? Thank you all so far guys . Keep 'em coming !
Hi,
When you say the drivers will not update, have you tried running the driver installer directly from the website instead of using Line 6 Monkey?
Also, are you connected with a USB hub?
If you are trying to use two sound cards at the same time this could be why you are running into these issues.
Try selecting the POD for both input and output in your DAW and plug your speakers directly to the Left and Right Output.
While in use, the POD X3 will serve as a replacement for you Sound Blaster sound card.
Thanks,
David
