recto amp too much bass, cab not enough

I find the XXL cab unusable - it sounds like it has a filter or something, and it has way too much bass.  Anyway...

That means the only usable cab with 4 vintage 30's is the Recto cab.  I find this cab NEARLY unusable because it has next to no bass response (otherwise, it rocks).  I only use with the Recto/Treadplate amp - then it sounds fine.  When I use the recto amp with any other cab, the amp seems to have too much bass.

Compare the Recto cab to the Uber cab, which IMO sounds the most like a real cab.  Also, I have an actual cab with 4 vintage 30's, and it has way more bass than the Recto cab.

Does anyone else have the same opinion?  I think the Recto cab should have more bass and the Recto amp have less bass.  Then the amp and cab could be matched with other amps or cabs without having to do a lot of low-end EQ tweaking.

If you're feeling me on this, please send Line 6 feedback.  This would be a vast improvement IMO.

Are you basing your observations on your perception off how these amps should be in comparison to the real amps/cabs that have been modelled.......or are you basing them on how you would prefer them to be?

I mean have you ever placed the real amps and cabs up against the HD500?

I personally have never had to add any extra EQ for any of the amps and I've got some pretty kick *** tones going on with the Treadplate and the Engl.

I guess in short, what I am saying is that I do not share your opinion but thats not to say your observations are unwarranted.

At least you have filled in a feedback form.
