Shame I don't understand German or dutch?
Bean looks good in Black though!
Someone who speaks German said on TGP the guys in the clip are talking about 22 amps.
Yep, he's actually saying 22 amps in that video..
Well thats interesting what with exciting new things to come to the existing HD's......

pretty exciting indeed...
22 amps and a power switch...
Now we know we're not gonna get a I/O switch on our floor POD HDs, but I can't imagine the desktop POD HD having 6 mores amps than the rest of the HD line!
Sounds like it's coming soon too!!!!!!
boink boink (that's me jumping up and down!!!!)

Oh boy oh boy oh boy... time to start speculating on what the 6 new amps will be ![]()
My dream list:
1.Marshall AFD100
2.5150
3.Dumble
4.Orange
5.Plexi Variac
6.SLO100
How do you all feel it looks...
Hans
It looks like a bean. It looks like Pod HD500 is getting 6 more amp models. It still looks confusing for Pod HD 300 and 400 ![]()
I wonder if it will hook up to a fbv mk 2 shortboard? Its got my attention
I like black beans just as much as i do red beans![]()
It can be hooked to a FBV MKII floorboard.
cheers
- Hans
damn i'm glad i didn't break down and get one. i don't use a pedal and i was just thinking about seriously getting the floorboard to sample the improvement. i can wait a little longer. at the risk of sounding foolish, yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
As an HD500 owner this is pretty exciting. I'm glad the bean guys are getting what they hoped for, and glad that a rack has to be close behind.
The video doesn't say that a Rack version is coming, they simply state that the build in of the previous POD series had floor, desktop and rack versions
cheers
- Hans
Yeah, I know the video doesn`t say that, but I`m willing to bet on it.
Website(s) is/are unfolding
cheers

NO Variax IN ????????? Carying 10 guitars to studio jobs again?
POD HD500 has Variax in (as you probably know).
Previous POD desktop versions didn't have a Variax in either BTW
Hope it helps

6 new amp models, and 5 new amp parameters....
Did someone say cool things?
To quote (paraphrase) the little guy on a tricycle chewing bubble gum in The Incredibles...
This is TOTALLY WICKED!
LOL
None the less it's is totally wicked.
Digital overtakes analog..

Very good news, does anyone have an idea of how much it'll cost?
I've seen a suffested retail price of 429,- Euro's
I'm not 100% sure that the right price
cheers
- Hans
So that would be about $600 US? I think I'd just get the HD500 lol.
historically, i think that the bean ends up at about 100$ below the floorboard version...
which would put it around 399$ USD which is pretty much on par with the x3 bean predessesor...
Hans's price is probably the MSRP and not the street price..
oh boy oh boy oh boy oh boy oh boy oh boy oh boy oh boy oh boy oh boy oh boy ohboy oh boy !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay!
I'd like to say that this is an unintelligent response that doesn't contribute buuuut...
I agree.

*wipes slobber*
in reading the features for the bean on the product page, regarding the left and right 1/4' outs, it reads, 'for mixer, monitor or recording device'. does this hint that it's not for amps?, since it doesn't mention amps.
I don't see how it could matter all that much. The bean was always meant as more of a recording device than live, but maybe they plug in all fancy with an updated Vetta or something?
POD HD Bean is kind of similiar to the POD HD500 but a different form factor and less connections. There's also a Tweak knob that isn't on the POD HD500 and you'll need an FBV if you want to use it live.
Hope it helps

Yeah, it's been priced over here in the UK at £339.
In my opinion I think this price point is a tad high for what you get in comparison with the HD500 which comes in at £409. £70 of difference.
To make it more comparible with an HD500, you need an FBV and the shortboard MkII which comes in at £169. So nearly £100 more for the bean and floorboard but with less connections, including no variax socket.
I guess it's fine for folks who will only use it as a studio tool but I've seen plenty of folks say they would rather buy a bean and FBV than an all in one floor based product which, seems crazy imo.

i tend to agree with this... i also can't see a scenario where you wouldn't want the pod stand (30$)
i do think that it's sort of an inbetween pod studio/pod hd device.... and is useful for some...
and some users already have an FBV....
have the same reservations though... i'd rather have all the extra I/O of the floor model
I agree about the price, but no doubt I'll get one as my studio space is limited and my HD500 takes up serious space. Available in May.
On another note it's goodbye to the POD 2 and PODX3 - Line 6 have reduced their product line (understandable). I'll hang on to my POD 2 for sentimental reasons ... :-)
good catch... i noticed and expected that the x3 bean would die... the 2.0 is a real surprise...
it shouldn't be because of it's age.... but the thing just had alot of tone for a little price...
was a nice foot in the door for those without the disposable cash...
I'd quite like having the desktop version along with an fbv as it means I can have the pod in a place where it's easier to make adjustments to rather than on the floor and it's also more transportable should I want to take it anywhere that I wouldn't require foot control.
I won't trading my hd500 for this though as it doesn't have midi implementation or an aux input ![]()

Yes, midi in/out on HD500 (with built-in expression pedal) but not on HD bean
. Devil in the details.

it works fine on amps... still has combo/stack/studio settings
thanks to both of you.
Has anyone heard of a release date on this? I don't know if I can wait.
