POD HD500 automatically reboots after switching bank (about once a night)

Hi,
Last night I stood on stage ready for my solo, switched the bank and guess what...
Absolute silence. After a couple of seconds the POD rebooted (line6 logo). After that the sound came back up again.
I've had this once before. Last night it was when switching from bank 3A to 3B in the second set of the attached bundle.
Not sure though if it always happens at the same bank, it's a bit hard to reproduce.
Running at the latest flash memory 1.22
Is there something wrong with a specific tone, is the firmware not stable in general or do I just have a bad unit I need to go back with.
Any advise?

Sjaak
After trying over and over again I found a way to reproduce the crash:
Hi Try re installing the firmware again and when it asks to save pressets click no and re install the patches that you downloaded and see if that fixes it. It happened to me weeks ago and I did what I suggested to you and it hasn't happened since
Hi,
Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately it didn't work.
What does seem to work is get the plate reverb out of tone 3B and use a room reverb instead ???

I had the same problem. I didn't get any answers other then re-flash. Which didn't work. I ended up changing tones locations around and not sure why but I haven't had a problem since.

The problem seems to be rooted in a mismatch with patches saved with old Firmware when loaded into a device with new Firmware.
I remember testing a patch for someone that was creating a reboot issue like this. The patch had been created on old Firmware and was crashing on new.
I think what actually ended up being the solution was a bit of a pain, but the patch had to be recreated from scratch which pointed to the original patch having become corrupt somewhere along the line.
My suggestion would be to rebuild the patchs that are causing the reboot from the ground up from a "New Tone" and see if the reboots still occur.
If no reboots occur, then jobs done, if you are able to recreate the reboots with new patches then the problem lies elsewhere.
Sadly I think this might be a problem we might see more with the newest Firmware on the way what with there being new parameters etc although I am sure L6 have already thought about that already and have some kind of fix in solution to make old patches compatible with the new ones.
Hi,
I don't see how it can be a firmware version issue. I have my POD for less than a month now. Upgraded to the latest firmware right out of the box before even plugging in a guitar.I never made any patch on a different firmware version.

By the way: it would be great if someone would be willing to actually upload the bundle file I attached and tried to reproduce the crash following the steps I posted. (The exact steps seem to be important. If I even skip the change of sets in between the crash doesn't occur)
If you can reproduce it that would give me some faith in the hardware of my specific unit and points more towards a firmware bug.

sjaak,
Where did this bundle come from? Which flash memory version was used when this bundle was created?

Hi Hugo,
This one came from the latest 1.22 version.

Hey sjaakthomasse
I was able to download your bundle and use it to reproduce the restart error you experienced.
I've logged an internal bug to get these findings over to our software team(for further investigation).
In the mean time, a work around for you would be to discard the current patch, located on set 2 3B, that is giving you a error and rebuild it from scratch on a blank preset.
Hi Don,
Thanks!

hi sjaakthomassen, i'm also having such reboot problems once in a while, especially when i loaded up some glenn delaune patches available on his website's patch download area. sometimes my pod reboots in the middle of tweaking a tone with hd edit, and there was once when it reboot as i switched patches. i couldn't remember the exact sequence in which i stepped on the switches but i'm guess our problem should be related.
Hi,
I did get a nice reply from line6 that this issue will be solved in the next software release.
