Hi All,
i have a big Problem with my nice HD500.
I have installed Line6Monkey 1.35.
It always tells me, that the Driver (4.1.1.7) is not installed and the connection to the HD500 is not possible.
I have tried to install the driver now for 20 times. Sometimes over Line6Monkey, sometimes i download the last driver and install it manual.
But it NEVER works.
After all it ends up always, that Monkey tells me, the driver ist not installed.
The funny thing is, that in the system-Configuration i can see the HD500 (after i have installed the driver and ad the end i'm aksed to plug in the HD500).
But Moneky reports still, that the driver ist NOT installed.
(i have tried to install the driver.exe as admin, in compatibly mode to XP ... but nothing worked.
After that i have tried it on a old laptop with WinXP SP3. There it works perfect. I have updated my HD500 to newest FW and also have aleready installed serveral custom patches. So the HD500 works great (no defects)
BUT i want to use the Pod on my major PC/Desktop,
What can i do ???
The HD500 does work with Windows 7 64bit definitely, so your problem is more likely to be with the ability of your computer to 'see' the HD500. Be certain to connect the HD500 to your PC via a direct connection to a rear USB 2.0 port and not via any type of USB hub, as hubs (including those that may be mounted internally to provide front USB port connectivity).

Hi, thanks for the quick answer.
I have connected the HD500 directly to the back USB Port.
All other USB devices are pluged off.
But nothing works.
There is still a yellow Attention! sign beside the driver !! and it reports NOT INSTALLED !
So where is the problem???
At least Monkey should report, that the driver is installed ???
Also if i have not connected th HD500.
Or do i see something wrong ?
On my point of view, there is nothing wrong with the USB port.
HI All,
after uninstalling/installing the Software nearly the whole night, i have figured out, what was the reason for my problem.
What i have tried was following:
- deactivate FW/AntiVirus-Soft => doesn't solve the problem
- uninstall VMware (virtual PC for my Linux installation) => doesn't solve the problem
- uninstall CD Recording / virtual CD soft => doesn't solve the problem
Then i figured out, that i use also a Belkin Printserver in my Home-Network.
This F***ing device install/use a virtual USB over ethernet.
After just shuting down this stupid Belkin Home Control Center (which use the virtula USB over Ethernet)
the POD was detected and everything works fine.
so as a note/info to all people who might have pronlems with connecting the POD via USB:
DEAKTIVATE ANY VIRTUAL USB SYTEMS
like:
- USB Printserver
- maybe als remote Storage sytems (USB Disk on a DSL Router)
My Device is called BELKIN HOME BASE
and you can connect USB-Disks, USB Printers/Scanner etc to it and it communicates over ethernet with your PC.
SO, finaly, problem solved :-)
That's great news. Thanks for letting us know ![]()
