Garageband does not recognize mic input!

I have the Toneport UX2, using with Pod Farm 2 (yes, I paid for the damn upgrade...grrr), and just trying to record basic demos in Garageband on my Macbook.
Everything is upgraded, all my drivers and Garageband recognize the Toneport, but when I speak into the mic - nothing.
All volumes are up, all mic's and cords are good. Compressor mic on my Macbook is fine, becasue when I unplug the Toneport it records fine.
Please, anyone - I've lost a week to my life to this. Everything worked fine for years with Gearbox. How do I record?!
My guess is that the hardware input of the UX2 is still set to the last known setting (perhaps the 1/4" Instrument input?).
The only place you can control/change this is in POD Farm 2. Go to the Mixer View page. Under Tone A, take a look at the input Source. Does it say Mic 1? If not, that's the answer. Try changing it to Mic 1. Go back into Garageband and test in a "Real Instrument" audio track. Is it working as expected now?
Yes!
Totally worked. Thank you thank you. Wasn't familiar enough with the Pod Farm interface to even know their was a mixer mode.
Glad to know that my hunch was correct and you're all up and running. Have a great weekend...
Stay in the mix and in the know.
