KB37 - midi mappings does not work

Hi, I'm trying to change MIDI mappings in Line6 driver, but whatever I choose - the mappings stays MIDI Default ?!?!? For example I'm trying to change to Garage Band, or to Empty Preset - whatever. Midi mapping stays MIDI Default. I've got MIDI Spy program and can see that no changes to CC and PC sent from KB37.

Any help?

I'm using iMac - Mac OS X 10.6.7

KB37 driver version is 5.9.2

Thanks!!!

Make sure you're closed out of all audio software programs first. Then, with your KB37 connected (to a backside USB port on your iMac, preferably) launch the Line 6 Audio-MIDI Devices applet in the System Preferences page of your Mac.

You should be able to select a different MIDI template or even modify the parameters themselves and then apply the changes/save on exit.

If the changes aren't being stored, I suspect an issue with driver/USB port connectivity. Try all the USB ports in the back of the iMac and repeat the process above.

Another thing to make sure of is that your Mac OSX user account should be an Administrator type. Also, it might not be a bad idea to run a Permissions Repair on OSX.

To do this: Applications > Utilities > Disk Utility. Select your internal HD on the left. Click "Repair Disk Permissions" on the bottom.

    Restart computer afterwards.

Re-test the ports and Audio-MIDI Devices template options. They should change/remain so long as your KB37 is connected via USB...

    I had the same issue.

When you uninstall the driver and reinstall it skips  2 files and you need to upgrade.

This is what I did and it's working again:

    - run driver uninstall

    - download driver 5.7.0

    - install, but after you have slect the desitnation, click customize

    - upgrade line 6 preference pane, uninstaller and framework

from time machine I restored the following two files:

    - line6audio.kext   should be located : Disk/system/library/extensions

    - line6midi.plugin  should be located : Disk/library/audio/midi driver

    hope this helps.

    cheers,Arjan

        hi Rafail,

the reason your device is not working is because these two files might be missing:

        line6audio.kext   should be located : Disk/system/library/extensions

and  line6midi.plugin  should be located : Disk/library/audio/midi drivers

Make sure that you install version 1.70 and that those two files are present in the folders.

If not copy them manual to the folders.

I've attached them in case you didn't have them in a backup.

        good luck!

        cheers, Arjan
