T-Model Position 1 shows Volume Pot using 1Meg Ohms under Workbench...

Good day everyone,
I've noticed that when using Workbench, select the T-Model, go to position 1 (Bridge) on the selector, it shows the Volume Pot setting at 1Meg Ohms. If you select the "Controls" tab and toggle the "Auto select tone/volume defaults when selecting pickup types" on, now if you switch the T-Model bridge pickup to any model... then select the T-Model bridge pickup back... the Volume Pot setting is at 250k Ohms. Is the T-Model Position 1 (Bridge) volume pot value at 1Meg ohms correct?

It's normal.
1M is the value of the pot mounted in SOME vintage Tele's - including the one reproduced by the Variax.
250k is the standard resistance for pots used with single coils... and Workbench offers you that average value because 1M is an "extreme" DCR which doesn't cooperate well with all guitars (i.e.: it wouldn't sound good with some virtual "bodies" offered through Workbench).
No problem in any case: 1M will just give you a "peaky" and narrower frequency response while 250k will result in a flatter resonant peak, with a more even and slightly warmer tone.
Enjoy!

+1 french fries
most fenders come throught with 250k pots and 047 cap. some kits ive bought for my strat when i was trying different pickups came with 1 500 k and 1 1meg tone pots.
Thanks frenchfries & amx05462 for your answers. It certainly does clear up a lot of things for me.
May I respectfully suggest, therefore, that you award points to these helpful individuals, as is the local custom?

JellyWheat,
I've logged into my account and viewing this thread and I see no options of awarding points. I posted couple of years ago and I remember seeing options for marking posts as "Correct" or "Helpful". All I see is "Report Abuse", thumbs up symbol of "Like" and a "Reply".

Sorry, FTech, my mistake. You posted this as a discussion and not as a question, so you can't award points.
[I'm still getting used to my new bifocals... sorry I did not notice this detail prior to posting!]
